External FX

A send and return for external effects.

If you have enough channels on your sound-card you can set up external effects as if they were internal effects local to LNX_Studio. To do this you need at least one spare audio channel in and out of your sound-card.

  1. Audio In channel - this sets where the audio input for this effect is coming from. (i.e which effect bus)
  2. Audio In amp - the amplitude of the incoming audio.
  3. Audio send channel - this sets where the audio send of this effect is going. (i.e which audio out bus or which effect bus).
  4. Audio send amp - the amplitude of the audio being set to the send channel.
  5. Audio out channel - this sets where the audio output of this effect is going. (i.e which audio out bus or which effect bus)
  6. Audio out amp - the amplitude of the outgoing audio.
  7. To device channel - the audio channel your sound-card uses to send audio to the effect.
  8. To device setup - can be Left & Right, Left + Right, Left or Right depending on your needs.
  9. From device channel - the audio channel your sound-card uses to receive audio to the effect.
  10. From device setup - can be Left & Right, Left + Right, Left or Right depending on your needs.
  11. On/Off - turns the effect On/Off. When off the effect is bypassed but still sends audio to the output bus.
  12. MIDI Control Editor - opens the MIDI Control editor and allows you to edit the MIDI controls you set up on this instrument. See MIDI Devices & Controls.
  13. Preset Manager - Add, remove or select presets, see Presets & Programs. You can also access the MIDI In settings to receive program changes.
